Thanks for getting back to me with the info. I took the info I learned from you guys (at the seminar you gave for new growers) and took it to heart. I did my marketing and pounded the pavement and got a HUGE response. I am at the stage where I have a huge retail market for the worms, castings and tea. I have such a demand that I cannot keep up with the demand for the worms (what a problem to have). It looks like in the spring and summer I have learned to be a good worm farmer from you guys but the demand now has outgrown my supply and I have to expand this demand. I am learning new things and bad mistakes all the time (i.e. killing my worms with freshly medicated manure, selling my worms beyond the number that can replenish the breeding stock in that bin, having to purchase worms from other growers to meet my retail demand, etc.). It is a success story that Eco-Tec can take credit for and be proud of.

We have just spent ten days at the hospital, while we were spending so much time at the hospital I truly came to appreciate the nature of this business. I did not have much time to spare, but it doesn’t take much time to feed, water and take some readings. As long as the feed kept showing up I think the worms couldn’t care less. I cannot think of another business that could almost run itself for ten days and still be back on track when you get back.

Just a note to update you, so far everything is going well and we are quite pleased. Following your instructions, we fed some ground up kitchen scraps and compost with our third feeding of the starter feed. The next day as I checked the worms, I observed a wiggling, squirming mass of worms going after the feed like they were piranha. Everything is going just as your course manual and the books provided have stated it would. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop; can it really be this easy?

It's been awhile since we've spoken. Our bin is doing great. We have read every book in the list, plus others. We are getting hundreds of egg caplets. We are sold on your incubator, it's the best thing out there. We are getting lots of tea, and the bottom of the incubator is full of castings. We found worms really like squash, especially cucumbers. We pour a 3 - 5 gal bucket of pureed squash on every 3rd day, and they lick it right up.

I'll be calling you when our first shipment is ready to go.
