2. Q. Does the incubator need to be in a heated building?
  A. No, they can be outdoors as long as you have a roof over it to keep the snow, rain and sunshine off.

3. Q. Who brokers the worms?
  A. ECOLOGY TECHNOLOGY brokers the worms for $10.00 per lb. from its growers

4. Q. How long until I make any money?
  A. Your first harvest should beat approximately 6 months, then you can harvest every month. Although you may purchase additional worms from us to jump start your business.

5. Q. How do I ship my worms?
  A. We ship worms Parcel Post in the U.S. mail.

6. Q. What is the cost of additional incubator kits?
  A. All incubator kits cost the same $2,395.00. We do however, provide additional worms instead of sending duplicate books, meters and manual.

7. Q. Do I have to sell ECOLOGY TECHNOLOGY my worms?
  A. Although it gives you a place to market your worms, you are not required to sell us your worms. You are free to market your own worms, castings and leachate if you so choose.

8. Q. How much can I make?
  A. This is entirely up to you. If you sell the worms solely to us, we purchase them for $10.00 per pound. If you market your own products or do a combination of these you can make far more. We have purchased all the way from 5 pounds to 90 pounds of worms out of one incubator in one harvest.

9. Q. Can I order just the DVD or VHS video, and how do I order?
  A. Yes, the video (DVD or VHS) is only $24.95. Just send us a check or money order to: ECOLOGY TECHNOLOGY, INC. P.O. Box 24, Hayden, ID 83835. We will happily priority mail the video to you the day we receive your order.

10. Q. Do you have any financing programs available?
  A. We do not provide financing. With your good credit, we can help you obtain financing through your own bank or other financial institution.

11. Q. Do you also purchase the worm castings and leachate?
  A. Our main interest is in the worms. However, in season, upon demand, we will purchase the worm castings. We teach you how to market castings ($2.00 lb) and leachate ($10.00 gal) in your local area.

12. Q. Are There lids on the incubators?
  A. No, however, we recommend an insulation blanket on top of the bedding.

13. Q. Can I start with more worms than that which comes with the incubators?
  A. Yes, we sell worms for $20.00 per pound. However, we recommend starting with no more than 20 pounds of worms per incubator. There is a learning curve to raising worms and we feel it is necessary to get experience and grow in knowledge as your worms grow in quantity.

14. Q. Does it smell?
  A. When it is run properly it smells like the earthy smell of a freshly plowed field.

15. Q. Why should I use an incubator instead of some other type of worm system?
  A. The incubator is specifically engineered to cost effectively maintain the proper breeding temperature without the need to be in a heated building.

16. Q. Who pays for the worm shipping costs?
  A. The grower

17. Q. How do I get started?
  A. Normally, people send in a 10% deposit ($200.00 per incubator) we will send you your receipt plus your set-up information. Then ECOLOGY TECHNOLOGY will manufacture the incubator (about 7 to 10 days to complete). It can then be shipped (at additional cost), or you have the option to pick it up.
